The Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership

Annual report published and new business plan

We are pleased to publish our annual report for 2019-20 setting out what we have achieved over the past year. Alongside transitioning to the new BSCP arrangements and responding to the safeguarding challenges created by Covid-19, we have strengthened our partnership working and delivered a range of training, audits and activities to drive improvements to practice across the local system.

Our new business plan for 2021-22 has also been published, which sets out what we will achieve in the coming year. We want to improve our feedback loop with children, young people and practitioners as well as develop mechanisms for measuring the impact of our work. Our thematic priorities for next year are elective home education, transitional safeguarding and modern slavery, in addition to any emerging needs created by the ongoing Covid-19 situation.
